Are you single and looking for a new place to live? If so, the UK property market has some great locations for you to check out. In this blog post, we will explore some of the best places in the country for singles to live. So, whether you are looking for big city excitement or a peaceful country escape, read on for these top recommendations.

  1. Liverpool

A new study has revealed that Liverpool is the best location for single house-hunters to buy their first home. Property listings sites such as Zoopla looked at several factors, including average earnings, mortgage affordability and asking prices.

It also looked at the number of nearby restaurants, pubs, clubs and other young- and middle-aged people who live alone to weigh the list towards areas with a more vibrant dating scene. The average price of a one-bedroom property in Liverpool is £94,000, with single buyers only needing to spend an average of just £341 a month on mortgage payments.

This would cost the average earner in the city in the North West just 10.2% of their income, putting average wages at £2,664 a month. With such affordable prices and a lively social scene, it’s no wonder that Liverpool is topping the list for single house-hunters.

  1. Aberdeen and Edinburgh

According to a recent study, Aberdeen is the best place in the UK for single people looking to buy property. The study found that single buyers need only £526 per month, or 20% of the average wage, for their average monthly mortgage payment.

This would buy them a one-bedroom home with an average value of £73,000. Edinburgh came in second, with single buyers needing £532 per month, or 21% of the average wage, for their average monthly mortgage payment.

These findings suggest that Scotland is a great place for single people looking to buy property, as both Aberdeen and Edinburgh are relatively affordable compared to other parts of the UK.
